My name is Impatience.
What a strange name. Who gave you that name ?
You did my love.
Olivier Py

For the second consecutive year, over a period of several days in June, the Odeon Theater will give young theater companies a chance to perform. A slice of « real-time » theater, an invitation to take a journey with new, emerging theater companies, Impatience invites you to a dozen festive and generous days of theater, custom-made for those who love to discover, those who are curious to see what tomorrow's world of theater looks like now. Helping young artists become known today ; facilitating their encounter with a larger audience ; encouraging the groundbreaking work of young companies and the curiosity of those avid to see ; these are the objectives of Impatience. Because the director of the Odeon Theater knows just how important it is to reserve a spot for the creators and artisans of tomorrow's theater.
A selection of performances by emerging theater companies, discovered over the last year, will be offered in Odeon's different theater venues. This will be theater at its best, works that are just as challenging and finished as any other. These are not trial runs, workshops, prototypes or fragments of unfinished plays, nor end of the year theater school projects, but autonomous and professional performances. As always, this part of our yearly programming's primary objective is to give young companies the opportunity to be seen by a large audience, to support them in their desires to practice the art of theater in its most challenging form. This is our way of showing that there is solidarity from one end of the world of theater to the other, also meaning of course, from one generation to another.
