Thought Workshop
Saturday, September 26th at 3 :00 pm 
There is no Republic without the fourth estate
On the occasion of the play « Saturn's Children ».
Hosted by Laure Adler with Pierre Louette (director of the AFP), Bruno Frappat (journalist at La Croix), Jean Daniel (journalist at the Nouvel Observateur).
Depuis le XIXe siècle en France l'apparition de la presse s'est accompagnée, comme une seconde nature, d'être le garant de notre démocratie. Aujourd'hui qu'en est-il ? La presse continue-t-elle à exercer ce rôle de vigie, voire de contre pouvoir ? La concentration financière ne nuit-elle pas à son indépendance ? Les nouvelles technologies ne vont-elles pas tendre à la faire disparaître ?
Autant de questions que de témoignages avec des acteurs de cette histoire.
