  • Odéon archives for the period prior to 1970 are held mainly in the French National Archives (series 55 AJ);

  • for the period 1970 to 1983, they are held in the performing arts section of the French National Library and at the Comédie Française;

  • for the period from 1983 to the present day they are held directly at the Odéon theatre.



Odéon archives contain :

press reviews and articles
programmes for the performances
photos of performances
press files
production records
correspondence
video recordings (archive recordings of performances, interviews etc.)
audio recordings (readings, conferences, symposia, debates etc.).
