The room, of circular plan at the origin, in ellipse since the restoration of Chalgrin, is the first Parisian Auditorium to sit the spectators of the orchestra. White in the beginning, the Auditorium was blue, "dead leaf", and red "Comédie-Française" after the Second World War, from the time of the "Luxembourg Auditorium ", color still in place today.
